Reed Accountancy are proud to be working with a growing Business in Leeds who are recruiting a Management Accountant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Finance Director with ad-hoc financial duties and ensure all financial records are accurate.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Record daily financial transactions and prepare monthly trial balances for sales, purchases, and cashbook ledgers.
  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns.
  • Manage the entire purchase ledger.
  • Reconcile the balance sheet.
  • Support twice-daily payment runs, including submitting daybook data to the funder's portal.
  • Reconcile the funder's ledger with the internal ledger monthly.
  • Assist the FD in producing daily cashflow forecasts for Trade and Trust accounts.
  • Provide information for quarterly audits with funders.
  • Produce weekly income sweeps.
  • Handle staff expenses and credit card reconciliations.
  • Serve as a backup for the finance team in allocating clients' cash.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as needed.

You will need to demonstrate:

  • Minimum AAT qualified or studying towards
  • Proficient in Sageline 50
  • Organisational and problem-solving skills
  • A ‘can do’ attitude with a keen eye for detail
  • Hands on approach to duties
