Job Description :

We are seeking a Management Accountant to assist in a pivitol role within our highly professional team, as an ambitious and successful Law Firm, we continue to expand and whilst this is a 12month contract, we are consistently evolving.

The Management Accountant will assist the Senior Accountant, and Financial Controller, in the preparation of the accounts and providing support to the wider Finance team and the business through the delivery of timely, accurate and insightful information.

We work Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm, offering 26 days holiday, plus Bank Holidays, Pension, Company Events and a commitment to Training and Development opportunities. We can offer this position as a hybrid role once training and orientation has been completed.

Requirements:

  • Qualified / Part Qualified accountant with strong financial and management accounting background (ACA, ACMA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Legal experience preferred but not essential
  • Experience of working in high performing teams with willingness to help and appreciation of the importance of deadlines and commitments and being able to multi-task. Ability to operate in a calm and friendly manner essential
  • Ability to manage relationships and communicate at all levels across all departments
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

This role involves but is not limited to:

  • Support the monthly financial close process including the preparation of General Ledger journal entries, supporting documentation and subsequent P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations for your areas of responsibility
  • Analyse P&L and Balance Sheet variances providing clear, concise commentary to aid understanding of key drivers
  • Effectively communicate issues and provide advice to other Taylor Rose offices, the rest of the Finance team (AP, Cashiers, Billing, Credit Control) and the wider Finance team within the Group
  • Respond to ad-hoc information requests and performing ad-hoc data analysis
