Management Accountant - Career Legal : Job Details

Our client is a law firm with offices located in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. Their aim is to become the leading Law firm combining specialist business law and private wealth advice internationally. They have over 1000 staff, which includes over 150 Partners and approximately 40 employees within the Finance team.

They are seeking to recruit a Management Accountant to join their team. The role of the Management Accountant is to provide meaningful financial reporting to the business in conjunction with the Management Accounts team and wider R&A group within finance.

Responsibilities

• Production of monthly management accounts

• Production of daily and weekly performance information

• Prepare intercompany account reconciliations and liaise with overseas offices in relation to year end processes

• Review of monthly overhead expenditure reports

• Support the Financial Controller at month and year end in the production of accounting information

• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget

• Assist on projects where required including BI, PMS and management accounts

Candidate Profile

• Part or fully qualified accountant: ACCA, CIMA, ACA

• A confident accountant with the understanding of multicurrency bookkeeping and statutory requirements

• Excellent understanding of Excel and other Microsoft packages

• Experience of Elite Enterprise and IBM Cognos would be an advantage

• Previous experience of working in the legal sector

• Have a confident approach and ability to communicate clearly with non-finance staff
