Management Accountant - Pure Resourcing Solutions : Job Details

A leading company is seeking a Management Accountant to join their Finance team in Bishops Stortford. Reporting to the UK Financial Controller, you will be responsible for preparing accurate management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with internal control policies. You will also support statutory reporting requirements and provide financial analysis to various teams.Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts and analyse key variances.
• Ensure timely month-end book closures and accurate weekly cashflow forecasts.
• Assist with statutory audits and quarterly VAT returns.
• Support AP/AR reporting and promote adherence to accounting policies.
• Provide insightful commercial analysis for non-finance audiences.
• Collaborate on annual budgeting and stay updated on accounting developments.

Person Specification:Qualifications & Knowledge:

• CIMA/ACCA Part-Qualified or equivalent.
• Experience with Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS/UK GAAP).
• Knowledge of tax regulations and financial systems.

Skills:

• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to handle challenging situations.
