Job Type:PermanentSalary:£35,000-£40,000 per annumLocation:WorcesterYour new companyHays Senior Finance are currently supporting a well-established business in the Worcester area as they look to recruit a new Management Accountant on a permanent basis. Our client are specialists within a niche industry and part of a larger European group who are recognised on a global scale.Your new roleIn this number two role, you will support both the Financial Controller and Project Managers with key day-to-day financial tasks including the preparation of financial reports, analysis of key business data and providing insights to assist strategic decision-making.Main duties:

• Monthly completion of financial statements, balance sheet, intercompany reconciliations, fixed assets etc.
• Monthly and quarterly financial reporting to Group
• Project accounting including WIP and variance analysis calculations
• Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting and forecasting
• Annual completion of statutory accounts and tax packs
• Sales and purchase ledger oversight and management
• Cashflow management
• Weekly KPI reporting
• VAT, Intrastat and CIS submissions
• Payroll and pension processing and submission including P11d reporting
• Improving internal controls and managing process improvements

What you'll need to succeed

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA studier actively working towards the completion of your qualification
• Previous management accounting or financial analysis experience
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial data to non-finance stakeholders
• Commercially minded and strong analytical skills
• Highly competent with Excel and finance packages (Sage 200, Eque2 Construction highly advantageous)
