Description

The key responsibilities of the Management Accountant include:

  • Preparing budgets, forecasting sales, and managing cash flow to ensure financial stability.
  • Monitoring expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and improving profitability.
  • Preparing monthly management reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Analysing inventory levels, minimising wastage, and ensuring optimal stock levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
  • Assisting with evaluating product pricing strategies to maintain competitive yet profitable pricing.
  • Ensuring adherence to tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
  • Providing financial insights to the management team for strategic business decisions.
  • Coordinating with auditors, tax authorities, suppliers, and financial institutions.
  • Monitoring receivables and payables to maintain liquidity and fund daily operations.
  • Assisiting with the Implemention of accounting software, streamlining financial processes, and leveraging data analytics for better decision-making.

Profile

The successful Management Accountant will have:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Ideally experience within an SME environment
  • A flexible approach to work
  • Studying CIMA/ACCA with a view to progressing
  • Friendly and approachable maner
  • Ability to work well with a range of stakeholders
