Management Accountant - Team Leader - Meraki Talent Limited : Job Details

Meraki Talent are supporting with the permanent appointment of a Management Accountant based in Edinburgh paying up to £50,000 plus benefits.

The Role

The position of Management Accountant is a newly created role as the business looks to increase it’s bandwidth in finance for process/continuous improvement, data utilisation and to develop it’s fantastic transactional finance staff into the future of Accountants of tomorrow.

This role would be an excellent opportunity for individuals to obtain Finance Manager status within the short to medium term.

The key components of the role will include:

• Deputising for senior finance leadership
• People management - hiring, training and development of aspiring finance professionals
• Reviewing and developing processes, procedures, controls & systems
• Preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts
• Ensuring a robust month and year-end close including annual audit preparation
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting & cashflow analysis

The role of Management Accountant is based just slightly outside Edinburgh city centre (walkable from Edinburgh city centre). The employer is happy to offer hybrid working and would consider individuals looking to be in the office from 2-4 days per week. The position will also offer:

Candidate Profile

We are keen to engage with candidates that meet the below criteria:

• Part qualified, finalist, qualified Accountant or qualified by experience
• 3 years+ practical management account experience
• Supervisory or people management experience
• Located or going to be located central belt of Scotland and able to access office weekly
