Management Accounting Manager - ZIGUP : Job Details

Location: Darlington, Huddersfield or Bath with hybrid working

We are looking for an experienced Management Accounting Manager to join our Finance team and lead a large group of qualified and part-qualified accountants. You will oversee the preparation and distribution of management accounts across the Group, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting.

As a key leader in the Finance team, you will drive continuous improvement, enhance process efficiency, and strengthen the control environment. You will also collaborate closely with Commercial Finance teams to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

• Own the day-to-day financial reporting function, ensuring month-end process and timetables are met.
• Oversee the preparation and distribution of management accounts across the Group.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS 9, 15 and 16, maintaining high technical accounting standards.
• Work closely with internal and external auditors, supporting year-end and half-year reporting.
• Support and enhanced service level agreements (SLAs) to meet business needs.

About You

• First of all, you are a Qualified Accountant with strong technical accounting knowledge.
• You have proven experience in managing and leading finance teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage across senior levels.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and drive performance.
