Maldon Partners are recruiting a Training and Competency Manager on a permanent basis for a rapidly growing Boutique Wealth Management Firm based in the City if London.

This is a superb opportunity for an experienced T&C professional who is looking to join a top-tier Wealth Management firm focused on retail and professional clients.The role has been created due to expansion and requires the successful applicant to be based 5 days a week in the london based office.

The firm also offers corporate broking and institutional trading and is growing in all areas of the business.

The Role:

Reporting Directly to the CCO the individual will be responsible for the supervision of the wealth managers and contributing to the progressive development of T&C across the firm.  

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Advisor supervision
• Responsibility and oversight of T&C Scheme
• One to One meetings with advisors
• Agree and assess development plans
• Review and address any issues regarding CPD activity
• Maintain appropriate records regarding T&C
• Monitor and encourage adviser completion of suitability assessments, mandates and periodic portfolio reviews, reporting to the Compliance team where an issue has been identified
• Identify learning gaps and design training, recovery and improvement plans as appropriate
• Providing clear, timely, and constructive feedback of assessments and risks and proposing areas of deep-dive focus, based on data and MI produced in your role to the Compliance team
• Ad hoc project work

Experienced Required:

• Solid experience within the Wealth Management industry
• Proven experience of working with Training and Competency Schemes ESSENTIAL
• Excellent knowledge of the regulatory environment (COBs, consumer duty and SYSC)
• Ability to work with autonomy and make decisions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary:

The Training and Competency (T&C) Manager role has a base salary of c£70,000 - £85,000 (some flex) depending on experience plus excellent benefits and bonus package.
