Managing Estimator - Search : Job Details

We are looking for a talented Civil Bias Estimator to join a reputable infrastructure contractor renowned for delivering complex and high-quality projects. Based in Birmingham, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to key civil engineering works in the rail and construction sectors. Key Responsibilities: - Preparing detailed cost estimates for civil engineering works, including rail infrastructure, earthworks, drainage, and structures. - Analyzing project requirements, conducting site visits, and interpreting technical drawings to develop accurate bids. - Collaborating with project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to compile competitive and precise estimates. - Supporting tender processes and negotiating to secure new business opportunities. - Providing cost analysis and contributing to budgeting and financial forecasting. Qualifications: - Experience as an estimator within civil engineering, ideally with a focus on rail or infrastructure projects. - Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and pricing structures. - Proficiency in using estimating software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. - Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
