Job Description :

This role of Manufacturing Manager in the Engineering & Manufacturing department offers a unique opportunity to lead a team focused on the production of high-quality Food/ FMCG products. The role is based in Stevenage and requires a strong leader with expertise in food/ beverage/ personal care/ pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, and a CI/ process engineering mindset.

Client Details

The company is a small well-established FMCG manufacturer that supplies products/ ingredient to multiple different FMCG categories. As their new Manufacturing Manager, you'd be reporting into a Director of Operations and have a dotted line to the MD, overseeing all areas within Production, Maintenance, Engineering and CI.

Description

  • Leading and managing a team involved in product manufacturing, maintenance & engineering, etc.
  • Ensuring all manufacturing processes adhere to industry regulations and quality standards.
  • Identifying and implementing strategies to improve production efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Coordinating with other departments to streamline operations and improve product delivery.
  • Monitoring and maintaining inventory of raw materials and finished products.
  • Implementing training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
  • Addressing and resolving any issues related to manufacturing processes.
  • Promoting a safety-first culture within the manufacturing facility.

Profile

A successful Manufacturing Manager should have:

  • A degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the Food / Beverage/ Personal Care / Pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and industry regulations.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong experience with Process Improvement from a practical machine/ floor perspective & people perspective.
  • Proficiency in using manufacturing-related software and systems.
  • Someone that can work in the grey; take ownership in establishing and driving site KPIs.
  • Excellent in inspiring and getting 'buy-in' from team!
  • Live commutable to Luton / Stevenage area for 5-days a week on site.
