Overview

Gallagher Specialty’s Marine division manages a global portfolio of clients across various sectors, including Hull & Machinery, Marine Liability, Ports & Terminals, Cargo, and Yachts. We are seeking a Claims Broker Technician with some prior experience in handling H&M and Yacht claims (including P&I and crew), but the role will also provide opportunities to develop knowledge in other Marine classes

As a key member of our growing team, you will manage a caseload of worldwide marine claims, guiding them from initial notification to settlement. Your commitment to delivering exceptional service will be instrumental in our success.

How you'll make an impact

• Manage claims from initial advice through to settlement, ensuring a seamless process for our clients.
• Negotiate claims effectively with clients, Lloyd's, and Company markets to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Support Broking Teams in client retention and acquisition efforts
• Utilize your understanding of technical issues in claims presentation to negotiate optimal results for clients.
• Present facts strategically to facilitate the settlement of claims, ensuring client satisfaction.
• Stay informed about market trends and industry changes to provide clients and agents with effective risk management advice, aligned with AJG principles and values.
• Carry out duties following internal policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, good governance and

About You

Qualifications

• Cert CII/ Dip CII (Chartered Insurance Institute) desirable
• Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent

Technical Knowledge

• Knowledge of the Marine industry and Insurance market
• Detailed knowledge of market claim procedures

Experience

• Proven track record of technical claims handling of all Marine Hull and Liability claims (specific experience with yacht claims desirable)
