We are partnered with the Data & Information Services team in a well-established Asset Manager with over £25B AUM. This is an exciting opportunity to create and lead the execution of the market data and information services strategy at the firm.

You will collaborate with a team of skilled professionals to revamp how they cater to the market information requirements of the investment team and key stakeholders. Your role will involve curating optimal tools and sources to provide top-tier solutions, leveraging third-party tools for standardized functions and in-house development for strategic aspects.

Your responsibilities

• Creating an overarching strategic market data operating model that unifies in-house and external services, driving innovation and business value.

• Evaluate options to meet user requirements, create proposals, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders to make decisions.

• Implementing efficient processes to maximise data service value, ensure smooth vendor management, and apply best practices in procurement and performance monitoring.

Your qualifications, experience and mindset

• Proven experience (preferably 10+ years) in data and information management within the financial services sector, ideally within asset management.

• Deep expertise in market data services, best practices and the latest technologies.

• Strong stakeholder management and project management skills.

• A strategic thinker adept at balancing both business and technical priorities.

• Ability to develop and execute a comprehensive market data strategy that aligns organisational needs with available market solutions.

• Resilient and driven, with a natural drive to learn, adapt, and solve complex challenges.

A comprehensive understanding of the market data landscape is essential, as is a keen interest in the needs of investment teams and the ability to approach solutions holistically.
