As Marketing Executive you will be responsible for planning, developing, and deploying multi-channel marketing campaigns - utilising email, SMS, website, social, and direct mail communications to engage existing customers and prospects.
This role will directly contribute to the company’s goals for new business acquisition, cross-selling, churn reduction and customer retention through targeted, timely, and relevant communications.
What you’ll be doing
- Campaign Execution: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement marketing campaigns promoting Card Payment Services across multiple channels (email, SMS, website, direct mail, print, social). Campaigns will include new business to prospects, cross-sell to existing customers who take other services, and new product/proposition launches.
- Audience Segmentation: Use customer data and insights to segment audiences and tailor communications and propositions to different customer profiles and needs, improving the effectiveness and relevance of the messaging.
- Content Creation & Development: Support the creation of compelling content that highlights the benefits of Card Payment Services, ensuring our proposition(s) resonates with key customer segments.
- Leveraging Marketing Automation: Work alongside CRM experts in the team to leverage Salesforce Marketing Cloud for building and automating email campaigns. Stay updated on platform capabilities and best practices to continuously improve automation and effectiveness.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Commercial, Legal & Compliance, Customer Care and Operations teams to ensure all communications are aligned with company objectives. Creation of sales collateral for BDMs and operational colleagues. Maintain close liaison with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure all campaigns and materials adhere to regulatory and company standards.
- Performance Analysis & Optimisation: Track, analyse, and evaluate the success of campaigns using data insights. Continuously optimize messaging, targeting, and delivery to improve campaign outcomes and support business objectives.
- Perform all activity within regulatory standards, GDPR and company processes, policies and procedures.
What does success look like?
- Improve Marketing Campaign Effectiveness: Drive higher engagement in dynamically driven Salesforce campaigns. Regularly report on key performance metrics such as open rates, engagement, conversion rates, and overall impact on business objectives.
- Drive New Business: Support the acquisition of new customers through targeted Card Payment Services campaigns.
- Enhance Cross-Selling: Increase awareness and adoption of Card Payments Services within the existing customer base.
- Improve Retention: Boost customer loyalty and reduce churn through effective communication strategies.
Your experience
- A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a marketing role within financial services (ideally in a B2B environment).
- Experience in managing and optimising multi-channel marketing campaigns & customer communications.
- Ability to demonstrate the impact of previous marketing campaigns and customer communications - for both marketing and business goals – as well as acting upon results to recommend and implement changes.
- Experience of working in an FCA regulated environment (desirable)
- Proficiency with a CRM platform to populate email templates – Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Pardot is preferable.
- Demonstrated experience in collaborating with multiple teams, ensuring alignment and effective project execution.
- Ability, and experience, in influencing and managing stakeholders – including senior leaders within a business
