What this role is all about:A fundamental component of our team is our aim to build engaged relationships with our health and life insurance adviser community, ultimately supporting the retention and sales targets of our sales teams.As the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for creating and executing marketing activity for one of our key sales channels for the business – You will also be responsible for 28 different service providers who support a number of financial advisers across the UK.As part of this you will be responsible for the development of inventory in line with campaign activity across a variety of marketing disciplines – these include email marketing, social media, online/print advertising and brochureware. Additionally, you will also own the marketing relationship with our strategic partnerships team who are responsible for the relationship between Vitality and the service provider.Another fundamental component of this role is to lead the direction of our communications activity to our internal sales team network as well as our financial adviser community.Key Actions
- You will create and execute Vitality’s marketing inventory in line with our agreed marketing service agreements with our 28 service providers.
- Build and maintain close working relationships with our service provider account management team as well as key contacts within the service providers.
- Creating bespoke customer-facing marketing resources - required to plan, implement and report on the success of initiatives and deliver ROI from marketing activity through clear tracking, measurement, analysis and making recommendations for optimisation. Alignment to wider marketing team activity, launch and campaign management.
- You will contribute to the planning and management of our acquisition, engagement and retention marketing plans and campaigns for both channels, supporting the business strategy and KPIs.
- Work with our CRM team to develop a dedicated communications strategy to our existing network of financial advisers within the strategic partnerships distribution channel.
- Alongside our technical marketing and marketing compliance teams - reviewing marketing content from financial advisers, which makes any reference to Vitality and our offering and make sure it adheres to our brand/digital guidelines.
- You will help the business take new products and product enhancements to market, working with the Proposition team and Marketing Centres of Excellence to deliver a range of multi-media assets.
- You will work with the Technical Marketing and Product teams to produce adviser facing content that can be utilised across various channels such as social media, email communications and web.
- You will be responsible for ensuring marketing collateral is compliant, managing existing & new material through the Vitality approval process (Compliance, Legal, Product) to adhere to FCA clear, fair, and not misleading guidelines.
What do you need to thrive?
- 4+ years of marketing experience, preferably within financial services
- University level education – ideally in Marketing or an equivalent qualification such as CIM/IDM
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft packages – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Dynamics.
- Good ability to create, build and design compelling on-brand content and campaigns for clients and Vitality sales teams across a variety of marketing channels, including pre-sales marketing assets such as sales aids, webpages and emails.
- Good knowledge of marketing best practice, concentrating on pre-sales marketing and B2B and B2C communications
- Analytical skills with the ability to collect and analyse data in order to optimise pre-sales marketing asset strategy across a variety of channels.
- Knowledge of email deployment; working knowledge of HTML is a plus
- Good ability to manage expectations and communicate issues and barriers
- Good presentation and writing skills with the ability to turn “the complex” into simple language
- Strong sense of quality control and attention to detail, with a good sense of ownership and accountability
- Good ability to inject fresh ideas and creativity into the wider marketing team.
