Salt is working with one of the world's leading FMCG companies, seeking a Media/Marketing Analyst to play a key role in analysing data from a wide range of marketing and sales sources to provide actionable insights that drive growth.
This position will focus on marketing mix modelling (MMM), media channel performance, and cross-channel analysis to optimise marketing spend and improve ROI.
- 6+ month, immediate start contract
- Circa £300 per day, outside IR35
- Ideally hybrid working in London, but remote considered
You will:
- Develop, maintain, and refine MMM to optimise marketing spend and improve business outcomes
- Analyse and model how various marketing channels contribute to overall sales and brand performance and provide recommendations on marketing budget allocation and strategy adjustments based on model outputs
- Combine and interpret data from diverse sources (sales data, media performance, consumer insights, retail data) to create a comprehensive view of marketing effectiveness
- Deliver actionable insights and recommendations on product launches, campaigns, promotions, and media strategies to drive growth and enhance market share
- Work with various data systems and platforms to gather, clean, and integrate marketing and sales data (CRM, media monitoring platforms, retail sales data, social listening tools, etc.)
- Develop dashboards and reports to track media performance across all channels, delivering real-time insights and KPIs to marketing teams
You will need:
- Strong experience in marketing/media analytics, preferably within the FMCG industry
- Strong expertise in Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) and understanding of its application to drive marketing investment decisions
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, R, Python) and visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Experience with marketing data platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Nielsen, social listening tools) and familiarity with CRM systems
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex data for non-technical stakeholders
