Materials Controller - Kingspan : Job Details

We have an exciting opportunity for a Materials Controller to join our Operations Team, based at our Castleblayney site on a permanent basis working 39 hours per week.

Responsibilities of our Materials Controller

You will be responsible for the placement and scheduling of purchase orders for a range of materials, including chemicals, facing, packaging and consumable items used in our manufacturing process and to maintain the correct inventory levels of these materials. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review Material requirements planning (MRP) system, this includes making communication with Sales teams and Production Planning and tracking project requirements
• Communicate and liaise with suppliers on a daily basis, expedite purchase orders, ensuring required delivery times are met.
• Identify raw material requirements, raise purchase orders in SAP and distribute to suppliers.
• Ensure that PO data and pricing is correct, referring to price lists issued by the business.
• Liaise with Freight forwarders and Customs Agents with regards to the arrival and custom clearance of imported raw materials from overseas.
• Record and maintain shipping schedule to ensure full visibility of shipping status is available at all times. Schedule deliveries as required, keeping additional storage/demurrage costs to a minimum.
• Review and resolve supplier invoices discrepancies.
• Attend both internal and external supplier meetings if required.

• Experience within a similar role, particularly within purchasing administration tasks
• Good communication skills 
• Ability to work towards tight deadlines
• Good computer skills; Microsoft Office
• Strong workload prioritisation skills
• Excellent organisation skills 
• Professional telephone manner

Whilst not essential, the following would be of benefit:

• Experience in the use of SAP
