A manufacturer of safety-critical components sold into aerospace and defense industries is growing. Due to the increased workload, they are looking at streamlining their processes to maintain their high-quality standards without creating any bottlenecks. To bolster their Supply Chain Team, they are now seeking a Materials Planning Manager.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for a team of 2 x Materials Planners and 1 x Team Leader, covering 3 departments within the business. This company has not needed a lot of the processes they require now, so this role is a challenging one, where you will need to win the hearts and minds of existing employees as well as identify areas of change and implement them.
Responsibilities of the Materials Planning Manager include:
The ideal candidates will be experienced at working in a business that has streamlined their materials planning department, embracing and working with suppliers to become a valued customer. You will have implemented new processes and systems and have a good vision of where you want to get to, with the ability to work out how to get there.
