Key responsibilities as the Materials Service Administratorwill include:
- Assist the Materials Resource Controller to manage the day’s deliveries and collections of material orders, and equipment hires to ensure materials and equipment are received and collected when requested by the Operative.
- When resourcing organise and schedule the delivery drivers’ time and activities in the most efficient and effective way to achieve their purpose of "the right materials at the right time".
- When resourcing constantly monitor pulled materials/equipment & van stock order screens checking statuses to identify potential issues before they happen, own these issues through to resolution.
- When resourcing plan for future deliveries, be aware of any issues that could prevent you from meeting the delivery appointments.
- Escalate to the Materials Supervisor or Manager any serious events or occurrences that need to be addressed urgently, and highlight key issues and trends that could affect the Materials Service
- Ensure you understand the end-to-end process of delivering "the right materials at the right time" for the operative and your key responsibilities in achieving this as well as understanding key responsibilities of others in that process.
- When issues/queries are identified escalate to your line manager/supervisor to ensure it gets acted upon and resolved.
- Assist the Materials Store person with administrative asset compliance ensuring registers are logged and all safety checks (where applicable) are carried out, liaising with the Materials Supervisor regarding any issues or queries.
- Assist with the administration of the vehicle tracking system.
- You are responsible for your own Health & Safety and are expected to work with the Company and your line manager to ensure safety guidelines are followed and adhered.

- A professional and courteous telephone manner always irrespective of the situation.
- Have a clear and concise approach to verbal communication, able to use the phone to communicate effectively, and have good typing skills.
- Able to deal with lots of activity, remain focused on the call you are dealing with, and the information that needs to be recorded or transferred by completing the task you are on before moving on to the next.
- Have good computer skills in MS Office and be comfortable in using job management systems.
- Be able to self-manage and be self-motivated and have a desire to solve problems and eliminate waste.
- Understand what it is to be part of a team and ensure that learning is shared within the team.
- Be flexible in your working hours to be able to support the delivery of the service; be reliable and dependable.
- Proactive in identifying your development needs and doing something to overcome them.
