GCSE Maths Lecturer

• Location: South Shields
• Job Type: Full time, fixed Term until February 2025
• Salary: £185-£220 per day dependant on experience

We are seeking a dedicated GCSE Maths Lecturer to join a College based in South Shields. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, preparing, and delivering high-quality education. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for teaching and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential. We welcome applicants both with Further Education experience, but also Secondary teachers who are looking to branch out into Further Education

Day to Day of the role:

• Prepare and deliver GCSE Maths course material across a range of programmes.
• Conduct lecturing and associated functions including classroom support, tutorial work and assessments.
• Implement and adhere to policies and procedures of the College and the Faculty.
• Manage administration and course or subject area responsibilities within the course team.
• Maintain class registers and records
• Participate in examination arrangements, including paper writing, marking, and invigilation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience delivering GCSE Maths is mandatory for this role
• Recent teaching/training experience in further education, Secondary schools or a professional setting.
• Experience in planning learning programmes, reviewing, and assessment.
• Personal and professional integrity.
