The Mechanical Bias Shift Engineer will perform a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of a high-speed manufacturing environment. This role is ideally suited to an individual with a strong mechanical background and a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes.

Description

  • Maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical aspects of high-speed manufacturing machinery
  • Regularly inspecting machinery and performing preventative maintenance tasks
  • Responding to breakdowns and restoring equipment to working order promptly
  • Collaborating with the engineering team to optimise machinery performance
  • Adhering to all health and safety regulations within the manufacturing environment
  • Documenting all maintenance work and machinery malfunctions
  • Working with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing processes
  • Continually learning about new machinery and techniques to improve job performance

Profile

A successful Mechanically Bias Shift Engineer should have:

  • An NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes
  • Solid understanding of mechanical components of high-speed machinery
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety
