£25,000 - £35,000 per annum
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Build Fitter to join our well-established client based in Kingswinford on a full-time permanent basis.

Day to Day Duties
- As a Mechanical Build Fitter, you will be a key member of the Build Team, responsible for assembling sub-assembly units and integrating them into Friction Welding Machinery
- This role also includes on-site installation and upgrades at customer locations both within the UK and globally
- We are looking for a detail-oriented, creative, and driven individual with high standards, a solid work ethic, and a passion for learning and growth
- Assemble mechanical sub-units (spindles, clamps, automation systems, etc.) using technical drawings and schematics
- Read and implement hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
- Perform hydraulic tube bending and make hose assemblies
- Install pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Fabricate mounting brackets using welding equipment
- Inspect parts using precision measurement tools
- Operate machine shop equipment (milling machines, lathes, grinders)
- Integrate third-party automation systems, including conveyors, robots, and guarding
- Conduct on-site installations, upgrades, and refurbishments
- Participate in pre-build planning meetings to review designs and identify required materials
- Contribute to process improvements and provide technical recommendations

- Experience liaising with customers professionally and knowledgeably
- Ability to report material and part issues to engineering teams

- Travel Readiness: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, occasionally, with the ability to navigate foreign environments independently

Desirable Experience
- Forklift and overhead crane operation
- Experience with international travel
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
