Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Role: Special purpose machinery Location: Milton KeynesSalary: £45k-£55kPlatform Recruitment has partnered with an innovative manufacturer that develop precision special purpose machinery from R&D stages through to production. They’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join an expanding design team. You will need to be capable of delivering highly robust, innovative, competitive and thoroughly tested products as well as leading mechanical development on new projects.

The role:+ 3D CAD design + Design and develop new machinery + Build prototypes in the workshop + Design practical tests + Produce & maintain technical documentation + Work as part of a team and on individual projects

Requirements: + Degree educated in relevant discipline + Strong 3D CAD skills + Produce manufacturing drawings + Experienced in designing special purpose machinery or equipment + Knowledge of fabrication, machining and assembly techniques+ Hands on and practical workshop skills

The salary will be between £45,000-£55,000 depending on experience. There is also a generous benefits package available.
