Mechanical Design Engineer Coventry £40,000 - £50,000 per annum

We have an exciting Mechanical Design opportunity to join a dynamic team at a leading global business involved with the design and fabrication of specialised machinery, manufacturing bespoke automated systems in Coventry.

Mechanical Design Engineer Key Responsibilities:

• Generate and deliver concept and manufacturing design definitions, aligning with technical specifications, requirements, and budget constraints.
• Contribute to the conceptual development of new products.
• Maintain engineering processes and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Identify and capitalise on business opportunities.
• Problem-solve and innovate to enhance existing products and processes.
• Evaluate technical issues and propose investigations and solutions.
• Support assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery within set parameters.
• Collaborate with customers on product development to meet their specific needs.
• Stay abreast of relevant technical advancements, enhancing personal skills and supporting team members as needed.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the business unit

• HND or equivalent mechanical engineering design experience.
• Proficiency in 3D design; experience with Pro-Engineer / Creo is advantageous.
• Hands-on approach to engineering design and development.
• Previous experience in designing projects from conceptions through to full engineering detailing.
• Background in Automotive, Heavy Engineering, or Off-Highway/Construction Equipment is advantageous.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems is highly beneficial.
