Mechanical Design Engineer - Allstaff Recruitment : Job Details

We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer based in Castleford for one of our clients on a full-time permanent basis. Our client are manufacturers, suppliers and repairers of pumps for the industrial sectors.

Responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer

• Mechanical design of products and pump assemblies.
• Create and maintain detailed GA/assembly/component drawings and bills of materials.
• Draw/part revise and manage the engineering change process.
• Detailed reporting.
• Carry out site surveys.
• Provide technical support.

Requirements for a successful Mechanical Design Engineer

• Qualified HNC/HND in a Mechanical Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years experience in mechanical rotating equipment & design.
• Proven experience and working knowledge of CAD, 3D modelling and SolidWorks. 
• Experience of revision-controlled drawings and transmission of specifications.
• Experience of working with fabrications, materials and processes.
• Strong analytical skills with ERP systems experience.

Salary: up to £40,000Location: Castleford Type of Contract: Permanent Hours: 37.5 hours Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am – 1:30pm
