Mechanical Design Engineer - RECRUIT 12 : Job Details

I’m working with a client in Didcot who’s looking for an enthusiastic Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in industrial automation and special-purpose machinery.

Opportunity to follow IET Chartered engineering CPD Scheme to gain fully Chartered Engineer status. 

This role involves designing mechanical systems for small retro-fit camera systems and large industrial automation machinery.

• Design mechanical systems and schematics in SolidWorks.
• Develop pneumatic designs, including concepts and schematics.
• Specify components and create renders for sales and marketing.
• Ensure drawings meet global standards.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver projects on time.
• Assist with hands-on mechanical builds as needed.

Essential:

• 3+ years in industrial automation or special purpose machine design.
• 3+ years of experience with 3D CAD, preferably SolidWorks.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (2.1 or above).
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Desirable:

• Experience with machine vision systems and rendering software.
• Familiarity with 3D printing.
