Mechanical Engineering Manager for a permanent role that encompasses leading, empowering and motivating multiple teams of mechanical and development engineers in the new product design and development of semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Up to £75,000 per annum, depending on experience
- Monday – Friday - Flexible start/finish times

About the role
- Leading mechanical engineering activities across applicable projects through the mechanical engineers and teams as assigned
- Ensuring that teams work cohesively and collaborate effectively
- Implement best practice mechanical engineering to improve the delivery of the engineering function to time, cost, quality and specification
- Ensuring the appropriate level of effective technical governance is in place for safety, compliance quality and reliability.
- Lead the mechanical engineering budgets for people and financial resources
- Offer expert advice to other engineers, including supporting the training and development of engineers through formal and informal mentoring
- Using SMART objectives within annual development plans, and monitoring via regular and timely 1:1s with direct reports
The right candidate
- More than 10 years’ experience of practical application of best-practice Mechanical Engineering in a relatable engineering industry
- Significant experience working in a regulated, compliance-driven industry
- Experience of recruiting, interviewing, and hiring Mechanical Engineers
- Experience of tutoring / instructing best-practice Mechanical Engineering and transferring accumulated knowledge
- Displays clear leadership behaviours, take ownership, and control of a situation and bring people with them even though they may not be direct reports
- High level of integrity and accountability with a results-driven mindset, able to set the standard, and hold people accountable to deliver
- Project and budget management skills
