Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanically Biased)

Salary - £39,000 per annum

Location - Blackburn BB1

Working Hours - Days Only - 7:15am/4:30pm - Monday to Friday

Our Client has been providing contract packing services to the food industry for almost 50 years and has an exciting opportunity for a multi skilled maintenance engineer with mechanical bias. The successful candidate will have 6+years of food manufacturing experience and will be expected to:

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance
• Analise and resolve issues
• Conduct repairs
• Perform general maintenance on machinery, equipment and facilities
• Have a good interpersonal skills
• Adhere to Health & Safety requirements and be conversant with HACCP and BRC.
• Ensure all equipment and machinery is in optimal working condition
• Set up machinery as required at production changeovers

Familiarity with some of the following types of machinery is required:

• Multihead weighing machines
• Bagging machines
• Linear weighers
• Cartoning machines
• Flow wrap machines
• Shrink wrap machines
• Coding equipment
• Inspection equipment (Check weighers & Metal Detectors)
