They are well financed and resourced, with great facilities, a client list of some of the countries best manufacturers, and a culture focused on engagement and wellbeing. The appointed Mechatronics Engineer will undertake the design, development, and transition into production of new or modified products and processes in accordance with company procedures.  You'll need to understand the technical design issues related to concept prototyping and full-scale manufacturing for a range of projects.

Mechatronics Design Engineer - Role and Responsibilities - Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Software, Control Systems, Electro-mechanical

• Act as a Mechatronics Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the work of the RD&D department
• Prepare proposals for product development including Project Plans, resource scheduling and costing
• Liaise with suppliers and lead development programmes with suppliers
• Support with the design, development and testing of electronic instrumentation
• Perform development activities to agreed timescales and costs
• Lead and / or support FMEA activity
• Source materials and components for prototype manufacture
• Collate data and technically report design and development activities
• Maintain technical documentation and reports
• Ensure the effective transition of development items into volume manufacture

• Degree or L6 equivalent in Mechatronics Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering preferred
• Design of mechatronic products experience
• Electronic design 3D CAD experience at a good level
• Understanding of Project Management principles
• Experience of New Product Development – NPD
• Practical Engineering Skills and Good Workshop Practice
