Role OverviewNest Insight’s mission is to find ways to support people to be financially secure, both today and into retirement. To do this, we conduct rigorous, cutting-edge research, working collaboratively with industry and academic partners to understand the needs and behaviours of the new generation of savers created by the UK’s pensions auto enrolment system. We also consider how self-employed workers and others at risk of missing out on pension saving can be brought in.You'll lead and deliver on communications plans for major research programmes, such as our Real Accounts project which has been following the financial lives of some of the millions of households on volatile incomes, and a programme looking at how self-employed people can be supported to gain greater financial security. You'll advise the managing director and other colleagues on the best ways to make an impact with earned media - and you'll oversee the strategic communications tools that will make this happen. You'll be nimble and proactive in working with colleagues on integrated campaigns and content that brings substantial and technical research to life. We are an ambitious and purpose-driven organisation, and you'll be an important part of helping us grow.To be successful in this positions you will have the following skills, competencies and experience:
  • Experience and track record of delivery of media relations programmes
  • Confidence and proactivity when dealing with reporters, bloggers and podcasters
  • Ability to construct stories and key messages quickly and accurately
  • Clear, fluent and concise oral and written communications skills
