French/English - Medical Nurse (Remote) - Quality Assurance

We are looking for a qualified NURSE with fluent FRENCH & English who is happy to be based in Belgium . This is no ordinary nursing role. There will be no direct patient contact in this role as the role is a QUALITY MANAGEMENT ADMIN position in which you will be visiting hospitals & medical centres across Belgium in order to asses the standards of care and medicine. You need to have had a previous nursing background (4 years) in order to have the skills and experience to recognise what good care looks like. This is a key position in the company. There may be some help for relocation ( flights/move costs ) for the right person . Its an exciting role for someone with outstanding leadership qualities and medical knowledge

Qualification required: a local nursing licence and qualification

Company Global US business that works with enterprise clients to repatriate their unwell or injured employees from wherever they are, at a moments notice. This role is a pure admin and quality management role in which you will be working autonomously to assess standards of medical care across medical centres in Belgium. You will then be compiling quality reports. In this role you need to expect to be visiting medical centres about 50% of your time, so will need your own car. FULL TRAINING will be provided

The role:

Making appointments with medical centres in order to meet the teams and assess quality

Gaining an understanding of the specific issues that affect the medical centre and hospital in terms of staff retention and recruitment

Dealing with escalations

Suggesting and implementing changes to maintain the quality standards of the facility

Travel / Rotation Requirements (Brief description of any travel or rotation requirements)

Travel as required regionally for interactions with the beneficiaries and PCSPs

Medical Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive In-patient clinical case management for a Beneficiary.

Completing status reports upon admission and according to contractual requirements or acuity whilst the patient remains admitted to the provider. These reports must be reported in American-English, clinically detailed and accurate according to the company's standards.

In the pursuit of medical updates, the Near Patient Nurse may visit the provider, or assist with calling providers or treating doctors for medical information for geographically remote cases as required.

Additionally, be prepared to liaise with PCSPs and beneficiaries, to obtain detailed clinical information including past medical history to allow for accurate on-going case management.

Where the Near Patient Nurse feels care is suboptimal, not necessary, or potentially harmful to the beneficiary the Near Patient Nurse must escalate such matters to the Near Patient Physician Lead, Near Patient Regional Medical Director for discussion.

Upon discharge, support when required with the Near Patient Medical Collection Team to obtain the discharge summary and hospital records from the provider, ensuring that the medical information correlates with the information obtained during admission and update the medical records accordingly.

Provide when feasible on-site beneficiary support services such as ad hoc language support and chaperone services when visiting health care providers.

Establish and maintain the relationships with providers; leveraging these relationships for clinical quality assurance and oversight

Assist with translation and triage of medical reports where necessary.

Support Near Patient Quality Assurance Leads as requested such as obtaining medical records as required

Attend and participate in staff meetings, internal and external educational offerings, in order to maintain professional development requirements.

Requirements

Nursing qualification (You must have a local nursing licence)

Car owner /driver

4 years previous nursing experience

Fluent French and English
