MEP Quantity Surveyor - Matchtech : Job Details

Our client, a leading Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation contractor with projects across Ireland, Mainland Europe, and the UK, is seeking an ambitious MEP Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This permanent position will be based at a data centre project in the Netherlands - the gateway to Europe. Our client is renowned for its involvement in diverse sectors, including Pharmaceutical, Data Centre, Healthcare, Education, Commercial, and Power Generation. • Validating tender following the award of the project with the Project Manager/Director
• Assisting in preparation of project CCS by analysing the tender and project requirements
• Preparing cash flow by analysing the timing of billings and costs
• Compiling monthly reports in accordance with the Group standard procedures
• Carrying out site measures with Construction and Planning Teams in accordance with contractual procedures
• Ensuring timely submission of claims/notices in line with the contract provisions
• Highlighting areas of concern related to contract costs, sales, and contributions
• Attending monthly commercial and subcontractor meetings
• Drafting pre- and post-contract correspondence in consultation with the Project Manager/Director
• Identifying if material purchases are scope or variation to the budget
• Controlling client invoicing by submission of invoices and tracking of payments
• Administering payments to subcontractors and suppliers by reviewing contract submissions
• Liaising closely with the Financial Department on project reporting and financials
• Resolving disputes concerning client/subcontractor issues
• Preparing reports on commercial and contractual issues for the Project and Commercial Managers
• Monitoring site procurement through regular reports

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Construction Management or equivalent
• Experience in Quantity Surveying within the construction industry
• Working towards chartership or a professional Quantity Surveying Certification is desirable
• Solid knowledge of Mechanical Systems
• Data Centre experience would be beneficial
