MFL Teacher

An outstanding Ofsted rated secondary school in Ealing are currently looking for an MFL Teacher. Languages required are Spanish or French or German.

The school are looking for someone who can start in January 2025 and commit until July 2025 with the possibility of continuing in the next academic year or transferring permanently.

This position is full time, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:00pm.

Salary will match inner London MPS/UPS.

MFL Teacher is expected to:

• be able to deliver highly focused lesson design with sharp learning objectives
• have excellent ICT skills
• teach KS3, KS4 and KS5 students
• be able to work with students to build on and extend the foundation learning levels
• enhance students' reading, speaking, debating and writing skills as well as translating and research skills
• help students understand and communicate effectively in the foreign language to encourage the development of their language learning skills

As a faculty, the MFL department aim to broaden students' horizons beyond the local and into international, cultural and historical spheres. In doing so, they hope to transform them into confident, open-minded and enthusiastic citizens of the world. Lessons invite students to engage with language through stories, music, films, visits and so on.

Qualifications and Person Specification:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• A relevant degree
• Proven experience teaching languages
• Excellent subject knowledge with the ability to inspire and motivate students
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
