Microsoft 365 and Azure Presales Specialist - Apogee Corporation : Job Details

This role is covering the North of the UK and involves remote work, client meetings on-site, and working out of Apogee offices. Salary includes a basic salary, car + Commission.

This role will involve providing technical consultancy to both clients and our internal sales team, focusing initially on Microsoft 365 and Azure solutions. You will bridge the gap between our UK-based sales force and technical delivery teams, ensuring that our managed IT solutions meet client requirements and add significant value.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with sales, technical delivery teams, and product managers to develop tailored solutions for client needs.
• Ensure that proposed solutions adhere to industry best practices and align with client expectations.
• Partner with Sales Managers to drive successful sales closures.
• Stay informed on market trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with sales teams, technical delivery teams, and clients.
• Attend client meetings, either onsite or remotely, to discuss and promote solutions.
• Advise clients on the effective use of Microsoft 365 and Azure infrastructure to optimise their IT investments.
• Assist with Proof of Concepts, technical surveys, and the quotation process.
• Produce and update technical documentation for successful sales opportunities.
• Contribute to the development of proposal and tender content.
• Manage client satisfaction throughout the engagement lifecycle and beyond.
• Lead pre-sales education sessions on new technologies and solutions.
• Support the sales team with technical knowledge and solution architecture insights.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Experience: Proven experience in managing Microsoft 365 migrations, developing 365 strategies, and handling licensing changes. Demonstrated expertise in designing and deploying Azure infrastructure solutions.

• Technical Knowledge:

  • In-depth understanding of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Proficiency in Azure services, including Azure Active Directory, Virtual Machines, Azure SQL, and Azure Backup.
  • Strong grasp of Microsoft 365 licensing models and how to optimise licensing to reduce costs and maximise value.
  • Experience with Azure infrastructure management, including provisioning, scaling, and security.

• Customer Engagement: Proven track record of engaging with customers to understand their IT needs and translating these into effective Microsoft 365 and Azure solutions that enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

• Solution Design: Ability to design comprehensive solutions that integrate Microsoft 365 and Azure technologies, demonstrating how these solutions align with clients' strategic goals and address their specific challenges.

• Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to convey complex Microsoft 365 and Azure concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively.

• Proposal and Tender Writing: Experience in creating detailed proposals and tenders that include Microsoft 365 and Azure solutions, highlighting technical benefits and cost efficiencies.

• Technical Documentation: Skill in producing and maintaining technical documentation related to Microsoft 365 and Azure solutions, ensuring clarity for both internal teams and clients.

• Industry Awareness: Up-to-date with the latest developments and trends in Microsoft 365 and Azure technologies, as well as their implications for enterprise IT environments.

• Self-Motivation and Teamwork: Ability to work independently while being a proactive team player. Strong problem-solving skills with a willingness to travel as required.

• Preferred but Not Essential:

  • Relevant technical qualifications and certifications in Microsoft 365 and Azure, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Microsoft Certified: Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert.
