Migration Support Engineer – Liverpool – 3-month contract

My Customer is a leading financial services firm dedicated to delivering top-tier solutions to their clients. They are currently undergoing a significant domain migration due to a merger and are seeking a skilled Migration Support Engineer to join their team. You will work closely with users in the financial industry, assisting them in setting up their laptops in the new domain, ensuring they have a seamless transition, and providing ongoing support post-migration.

The Migration Support Engineer would have experience working in a merger environment and experience supporting tenant-tenant/domain migration in their previous contract engagements.

This role would require the Migration Support Engineer to be onsite 5 days a week in Central Liverpool.

There will be ad hoc travel to various sites around the UK – Expenses covered

Key Responsibilities for the Migration Support Engineer:

• Windows 10/11 – Administration and Support
• Office 365 – Administration and Support
• Active Directory experience
• User Setup:
  • Sit down with users to configure their laptops in the new domain.
  • Ensure all user settings, applications, and data are correctly migrated.
  • Provide step-by-step guidance and support to users during the transition.
• Continuous Support:
  • Offer ongoing technical support after users have logged into the new domain.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any post-migration issues related to connectivity, application access, or user profiles.
  • Collaborate with 3rd line support and other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
• Documentation & Training:
  • Maintain detailed records of user interactions and issues resolved.
  • Create and update user guides and documentation to assist in the transition process.
  • Conduct training sessions for users to familiarize them with the new domain environment.
• There will be ad hoc travel to various sites around the UK – Expenses covered

This Migration Support Engineer role is 5 days a week on site in Liverpool
