Mobile Building Engineer - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited : Job Details

Your new companyOur client, a Maintenance Team who is based on-site in various secure environments, requires a Mobile Building Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis to cover the whole Yorkshire and North East region. You will be based at your local site but will be required to travel around the region covering sites on a day-to-day basis. Locations include Doncaster, Leeds, Wakefield, York, Hull, Durham and Middlesbrough and surrounding areas. You will be given a company van and fuel card, so driving is essential for this role.Hours: 39 hours per weekYour new roleYou will be part of a wider Maintenance Team across the region and will be required to support all sites as and when required. Duties include:

• Raise, update and close remedial tasks within the Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system.
• Ensure all critical parts are available for statutory tasks.
• Carry out general and semi-skilled maintenance activities.
• Undertake general tasks associated with security systems such as CCTV and alarm systems.
• Carry out monthly checks and tests of fire extinguisher equipment, with regular checks on fire hydrants and fire hoses.
• Complete RCD testing on a quarterly basis.
• Carry out checks on Misting Units.
• Undertake fire door maintenance activities.
• Conduct flushing and tap temperature tests as required by the water risk assessment.
• Undertake monthly and annual emergency lighting checks.
• Check and test smoke vents as required.
• Any other duties commensurate with the role.

What you'll need to succeedIdeally, you will be qualified in multiple areas of maintenance as outlined above with experience in general building maintenance.

• A full driving licence is essential.
• Ability to work alone and use initiative.
• Good all-round project management knowledge
• Experience in Fire Door Maintenance
• Experience in Fire Extinguisher Maintenance
• Experience in Fire Alarm Core Points
• Experience in Emergency Lighting
• Experience in RCD
• Experience Water Temperature Testing
• IT skills

You will be required to pass a security clearance for the role, so you must be able to provide Right to Work documents such as Passport / Birth Certificate / Visa or Share Code, driving licence, and additional proof of address.If you have worked in a secure environment before, that will be an advantage to your application.What you'll get in return
