Job Description :

We are looking for a Modelling Analyst to join our Project Controls team at AWE Nuclear Security Technologies.

Package: From £40,000 dependant on experience

Location:RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke

Introducing the Role:

As a Modelling Analyst, you will explore how statistical modelling is developed and implemented in a collaborative and supportive environment. You will engage in analyses, scenario modelling, and provide assurance, validation, and verification for a diverse range of AWE projects and programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn and deliver an effective modelling and analysis service to meet business needs.
  • Champion modelling; its benefits, providing advice and enabling informed decision-making.
  • Implement the fundamentals of Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) practice, familiar with the full model lifecycle.
  • Understand and interpret project schedules from Primavera or MS Project.
  • Understand and interpret cost estimates, cost plans, and financial data.
  • Utilise a range of quantitative modelling tools and techniques, such as Monte Carlo analysis, discrete event simulation, optimization, and programming for modelling & analysis.
  • Support business cases and investment approvals, including Options Analysis, Investment Appraisal, and Schedule/Cost/Deliverability Effectiveness modelling.
  • Develop and nurture key relationships with project teams and other stakeholders as required.
