Job Description:

BDM Recruitment is seeking an experienced Mortgage Advisor or Mortgage Broker to join a busy and successful estate agency office in Peterborough. This is a fantastic opportunity for a CeMAP qualified (or equivalent) professional to offer expert mortgage and protection advice to a high-volume client base, handling mortgages of up to £500k with an average property value of £250k.

Main Duties:

As a Mortgage Advisor or Mortgage Broker in the Peterborough branch, your main responsibilities will include:

• Providing comprehensive mortgage and protection advice to clients.
• Working closely with a team of professional introducers, with fresh leads supplied on a daily basis.
• Managing new mortgage appointments and offering a remortgage service to existing clients from the branch’s extensive database.
• Attending regular meetings with the Peterborough team to discuss new client registrations and ensure excellent service delivery.
• Handling mortgage cases with an average value of £3,000, where you will receive a minimum of £300 per case.
• Supporting clients with mortgages up to £500k, in a thriving local property market with around 200 properties sold per month.

Key Skills and Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must:

• Be a fully CeMAP qualified (or equivalent) Mortgage Advisor or Mortgage Broker.
• Possess a strong knowledge of mortgage products and the ability to tailor advice to clients' individual needs.
• Have experience in a tied, independent, or banking mortgage environment, with a proven track record of successful mortgage sales.
• Hold CAS accreditation and CeMAP, CF6, or MAQ qualifications.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Live within a commutable distance of Peterborough and be confident in proactively contacting clients from the existing branch database.
• Maintain a clean credit history and no criminal convictions.
