Responsibilities of the Motor Claims Handler:

• Deal with all motor claims from cradle to grave.
• Collect evidence and make enquiries to formulate liability decisions.
• Review payment packs from third parties, credit hire, and garages.
• Liaise with police, investigators and external sources to determine liability.
• Chase recovery of outlay from third party insurance companies.
• Deal with total loss vehicles, instructing salvage and completing MIAFTR.

Our ideal Motor Claims Handler:

• Experience dealing with FNOL, Credit Hire, Total Loss and ULR claims within an insurer, solicitor or MGA is essential.
• Any experience with Fraud, 3rd Party Property Damage, Personal Injury, Theft, and Fire claims will be a bonus!
• Preferably coming from a defendant background rather than claimant.
• Confident working with OIC & MOJ Portal Claims.
• Ability to deal with High Values Claims, with authority at £50,000+.
• Strong time management skills and excellent telephone etiquette.
