About the role

In your role as Multi-Asset Execution Trader you will make a meaningful and valued contribution from the outset. This role will provide a great opportunity to support multi-asset execution activities for the Scheme and Portfolio Management teams.The individual will work as part of a team of four supporting the execution activities across all products for the Scheme. Products include fixed income, fx, equities, listed and OTC derivatives.

As part of the team the individual will be expected to help drive process improvement as well as identify new and alternative technology to support the execution process.

What you will do

  • Primarily focus on execution related activities alongside the other execution team members and the broader investment team members with a focus towards fx and fixed income products
  • Take all sufficient steps to ensure best execution and effective implementation strategies
  • Manage flow of PM orders fairly
  • Provide advice to PMs on efficient and effective implementation of execution strategies, providing colour on market conditions (liquidity, expected impact costs), calendar events and anything else relevant to implementation
  • Cultivate relationships with counterparties and stakeholders
  • Drive automation, streamlining and harmonisation of execution workflow processes across desks and functions
  • Identify areas of improvement (e.g. new execution venues, outsourcing opportunities, leveraging technology solutions)

  • Experience of buy-side execution, preferably in fixed income or fx
  • An understanding and knowledge of various asset classes and markets (equity, debt, futures, OTC derivatives, Forward FX, developed and emerging market)
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills and rigorous attention to detail
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships within team, across stakeholders and with counterparties
  • Good knowledge of the regulatory environment
