Role: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Bury Area

Salary: £50,5k

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (Days and Nights)

The business is a well-established, yet continuously growing FMCG manufacturing business based in the Bury area. Over the last 18 months, the company has experienced significant growth, and as they continue to expand, they are looking to strengthen their engineering team by appointing an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer.

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the manufacturing plant. You will be responsible for both reactive and proactive maintenance across a wide range of equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities of a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer:

• Perform both planned and reactive maintenance on a variety of production machinery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to reduce equipment downtime.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to process optimisation.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards.
• Collaborate closely with the engineering team to identify and resolve issues efficiently.

A successful Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will have:

• Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer in an FMCG or similar manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding and repair skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Qualification to a Level 3 or above in Electrical Engineering
