Commutable from Watford, Berkhamstead, Hemel Hempstead, Harpenden, Luton, Amersham£40,000 + overtime

Monday-friday (days) + occasional saturday

Our client in St Albans is an abattoir looking to recruit a multiskilled engineer for a monday-friday days position. The company are willing to train and develop candidates from a variety of backgrounds, as long as you have the right attitude and some engineering experience and knowledge.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Carry out PPMs and reactive Maintenance to machinery
• Fault find on electrical and mechancial components
• Fault find on PLC systems
• Adhere to Health and Safety Regulations
• Be flexible regarding hours and overtime

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Be a multi-skilled maintenance engineer - either electrical or mechanical biased
• Must have some hands-on engineering experience
• Ideally have worked in a food manufacturing - but open to engineers from different industries
• Comfortable with working in an abattoir environment- which can be dirty and smelly
• A flexible attitude which is reciprocated by the team
