This role is ideal for someone with a passion for consumer electronics and a proven track record in account management.
Day-to-day responsibilities of the role:
- Formulate and agree on product and promotional business plans aligned with internal targets and KPIs, ensuring they are agreed with customers and monitored regularly.
- Plan and implement account activities including effective product displays, promotional plans, store merchandising, and staff training programmes.
- Develop effective customer contacts across commercial, buying, supply chain, store support, and operations.
- Negotiate range pricing and promotional opportunities, ensuring all agreements are recorded and implemented according to company guidelines.
- Monitor customer engagement through accurate forecasting, sales in and sales out information, and maintain budgetary control.
- Collaborate with Demand Planning and Sales Administration to ensure smooth and timely customer deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records and report all business aspects to the General Manager/Sales Director and relevant departments.
- Develop strong relationships with all internal departments including Marketing, Product Management, Sales Administration, Customer Service, Logistics, Credit Control, and Finance.
- Ensure a high level of product knowledge and understanding of business and product strategies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience and knowledge of consumer electronics national account retail channels is preferable.
- Proven track record of success within an account management position.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Ability to sustain a fast pace in a dynamic environment.
- Self-starter, capable of working independently.
- Resilient, with the ability to drive issues to a successful customer-focused solution.
- Good judgement and decision-making skills within the scope of responsibility.
- Proven commercial acumen and ability to achieve commercial objectives.
- Experience working within a performance management environment, familiar with KPIs and Service Level Agreements.
