Our client, an international Creative Design company, is actively seeking a proactive, dedicated and ambitious National Account Manager to support, manage and expand a portfolio of existing customers and generate new business by identifying opportunities within the customer base.
Reporting to the Sales Manager and working remotely, duties to include:
· Account management of existing clients by proactively seeking ways to maintain and increase sales and margin.
· Advise clients on the design process and provide feedback to the company’s design team.
· Completing tenders and communicating within all areas of the customers business
· Operate a comprehensive call cycle, incorporating visiting your top spending accounts, new leads and potential sales opportunities within an agreed timescale.
· Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure long-term success.
· Act as the liaison between customers and internal teams ensuring clients’ requirements are met and ensuring brand consistency.
· Communicating with clients to understand their needs and explain product value.
· Collaborating with internal departments to facilitate client need fulfilment.
· Negotiate contracts whilst maintaining high customer satisfaction ratings, according to company standards.
· Liaise with Sales and Marketing departments to set, implement strategies for new products and ensure full compliance on all sales, promotional and marketing activity.
· Participation in all staff training, team meetings and all company events
· Collect and analyse sales data and trends, stay up to date with internal and external developments and suggest new ways to increase sales.
· Monthly one on one meetings and quarterly appraisals to review and discuss performance and individual development plans.
· Attend and present at local & national Trade Shows.
· Buying responsibilities on core product lines.
Ideally the successful candidate will have prior experience within an account management role, with a creative flair and a background dealing with the education sector. Excellent Customer Service skills are key and experience negotiating with large blue-chip companies would be desirable. You will also display exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities together with the ability to work independently and professionally.
