National Sales Manager

Hybrid, Derby

Up to £40,000 + commission + company car

Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00

The Opportunity:An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven National Sales Manager to join a well-established, growing national manufacturing business. This role focuses on driving sales and developing new relationships within the expanding Trade sector. The successful candidate will have full responsibility for UK Independent Trade sector sales.

This role requires close collaboration with internal support functions to ensure the successful implementation of business initiatives, objectives, and strategies. The ideal candidate will be skilled in identifying both short and long-term solutions to meet business needs, improving market presence and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, train, and mentor the field sales team to maximize performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally.
  • Attend internal meetings with senior management and focus groups.
  • Monitor and improve team performance through regular one-on-ones and performance improvement plans.
  • Communicate targets clearly and reward team achievements.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm and a proactive, results-driven approach.
  • Uphold company values, recognizing progress and personal development.
  • Present ideas and information effectively to various audiences.
  • Adapt to changing business priorities and manage unexpected challenges efficiently.

The Candidate:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in retail/trade within the Home Improvement sector.
  • Strong business acumen, including excellent written and verbal communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK, including overnight stays as needed.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive and driven mindset.
  • Proficiency in IT, including Zoom, Teams, and CRM software.
  • Full and current UK driving license.
