Network Engineer

Hybrid working 3 days onsite per week in Exeter

Our client based is looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join their team on an initial 6 month basis to help support the clients communication networks, including LANs, WANs, VPNs, wireless, and telephony networks.

Key Skills:

• Good understanding of LAN/WIFI technologies
• Good knowledge on Network basics OSI Layers/TCP and UDP protocols/VLAN/Routing/IP subnetting/spanning tree, Etc.
• DNS/ DHCP/ IPAM (Infoblox)
• Experience in firewall administration, configuration, and troubleshooting (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo alto etc.).
• Good knowledge and hands on experience of VPN’s (Remote access and Site-to-Site)
• Routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP
• Traffic shaping, QoS, CoS
• Application content delivery systems and Load balancing experience
• Cloud networking including Azure, AWS, etc
• Understanding and experience of network automation technologies.
• Ideally experience working on Juniper and Aruba technologies.
• Understanding of VXLAN, EVPN
• Advantageous to have an understanding of VOIP/ telephony technologies.
• Experience with monitoring and management solutions (SolarWinds, Airwave, Mist/Space, SIEM Solutions, etc
