A fantastic new opportunity has become available for Cisco ACI Network Engineer with one of our Financial Services clients serving individuals, small- and middle-market businesses, large corporations, and governments with a full range of banking, investment management and other financial and risk management products and services based in Manchester.

Role: Network Engineer (Migration)

Location: Manchester (2 Days week Onsite)

Duration: 3 Months potential for extension

Rate: Circa £450/Day

Status: Inside IR35

Experience and Skills required:

• Experience within CISCO or Nexus.
• Build network configuration for each migration.
• Worked in Switches, Firewall and Checkpoint.
• Work with vendors, partners teams on migration strategy.
• Prepare, deploy, and collaborate all network related build and migration activities at HLW and WOK
• Prepare network documentation.
• Allocate IP space for each migration.
• Experience in Palo Alto integration.

Responsibilities:

• Validate with customer and stake holders during and after migration to ensure workloads/apps are successfully migrated.
• Build network configuration for each migration.
• Collaborate with DCS on cabling and placement of network infrastructure for each BU.
• Work with transport and carriers on any circuit related activities.
• requests for onboarding, IPS, IDIP monitoring and submit change control for each phase of migration.
• Work with network governance on approach and approval of migrations.
• Implement and configure network devices during approved change window.
• Perform testing and validation of network devices.
• Work with customer on port mapping and network assignments of applications and end hosts.
• Support other TSG teams for access and connectivity to network.
