Network Project Engineer - VIQU Limited : Job Details

Network Project Engineer – Bolton/ Hybrid – Paying up to £50,000

Viqu has partnered with an award-winning services provider who is hiring a Network Project Engineer to join their team of experienced engineers with a focus on project work with some BAU activities. This opportunity has come about due to a promotion in the team.

The Network Project Engineer will benefit of working from the office 1 day per week and home for the 4 remaining days. The position will also work on a on-call rota of 1 week on in every 8 and the successful candidate will be compensated for being on-call.

Experience required for the Network Project Engineer:

-          Experience as a Core IP network engineer

-          In-depth understanding of Juniper & Cisco

-          Proven experience using BGP, OSPF, IS-IS and MPLS

-          Must have experience running projects

-          Desirable experience within an MSP / ISP

Responsibilities of the Network Project Engineer:

-          Carry out on-call work when required to minimise impact.

-          Compete implementation plans and LLD and POC/LAB testing.

-          Conduct upgrades and patching according to the scheduled maintenance or response to incidents.

Projects the network team are competing currently:

-          Conducting a new datacentre migration

-          Full rollout of a new data centre

-          Deploying new router flexers

-          Collapsing / decommissioning old networks
