Our client DENSO Marston a global manufacturer based in Shipley, West Yorkshire, has an exciting opportunity for a New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer to be a key member of the wider NPI team and function, ensures a smooth introduction to manufacturing of all NPI projects from a process perspective. Responsible for specifying, designing, ordering and commissioning new jigs, tools, fixtures etc. Preparation of process/production related documentation as needed. Coordinating trial and initial production builds, validating manufacturing processes to ensure all new products meet specification and production/quality requirements on time.The role is integral within the business to ensure the strong management of NPI Projects. - Introduce newly released designs to manufacturing from a process perspective.
- Facilitate functional and cross functional activities to ensure project milestones are met
- Track obsolescence costs and report as necessary if variation occurs
- Chair progress meetings to ensure target achievement. Report any risks and create any recovery action plan
- Written / verbal communication internally / externally to all stakeholders
- Escalate any non-achievement that may jeopardise the change or incur unnecessary costs
- Utilise the company’s Engineering Change Management system to track the change process to ensure all milestones and deliverables are being achieved on time
- Ensure all departments understand the time frame and key milestones to ensure successful engineering change
Required Skills

Experience / Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent experience in a mechanical engineering or related discipline.
- Project management skills including experience with tools such as MS Project.
- Competent in the use of 3D CAD modelling and 2D drawings.
- Continuous improvement: the ability to develop new and improve existing processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Determination and perseverance to succeed in a competitive environment.
- Excellent verbal/written and presentation skills.
- Good understanding of AS400 or related manufacturing MRP system would be an advantage.
