I am currently working alongside a nursery in Scunthorpe to seek a dedicated Baby Room Leader to join their team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children aged 0 - 2 years and will possess the expertise to take charge and make an immediate impact. Ideally, the candidate will be qualified to at least Level 3 and will have experience of leading a team.
Day-to-Day of the role:
- Oversee the daily operations of the baby room, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for the children.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote the children’s physical, emotional, and intellectual development.
- Lead and mentor nursery staff within the room, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their child’s progress and wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of children’s development and care routines.
- Ensure compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) standards and nursery policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must be Level 3 qualified in Childcare or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a similar role within an early years setting.
- Strong understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to lead by example.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and a commitment to their development.
